SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) process features high level of industrialization and exceptional product uniformity. As a prepreg-based thermoset molding process, SMC enables precise resin formulation and uniform fiber impregnation during material preparation, prior to compression molding. This allows for extremely fast molding cycles and a high degree of automation in mass production.

The molded parts exhibit excellent dimensional stability and surface finish, with high-quality appearances achievable on both sides.

Tight control over raw material composition and processing parameters ensures minimal batch-to-batch variation, making SMC particularly well suited for the stable, large-scale production of structurally complex components. For example:
